The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) is an intelligence test for children between the ages of 6 and 16 inclusive that can be delivered without reading or writing. The test takes 90 minutes to administer and provides a scaled IQ score against the national averages. The current edition of the test WISC IV is administered by our educational psychologists in London.
Mensa UK also conduct supervised IQ tests and puzzles for more information visit www.mensa.org.uk/iq-tests
The test can be useful in identifying gifted children, those with learning disorders in reading, writing and mathematics. This test can also be useful in highlighting possible disorders in children such as ADHD, receptive-expressive language disorders, Autism and Asperger’s syndrome.
The results and reports of these tests are officially recognised by schools and universities both in the United Kingdom and the majority of academic institutions abroad.
