Our educational psychologists in London offer a selection of personality tests namely the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) that is assessed through a psychometric questionnaire recording 90 responses designed to measure pschological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. The test works through Forced-choice meaning that the individual has to choose only one of two possible answers to each question. The choices are a mixture of word pairs and short statements. The test pools participants into 16 personality types through a series of four type preferences listed below:
- E S T J: extraversion (E), sensing (S), thinking (T), judgment (J)
- I N F P: introversion (I), intuition (N), feeling (F), perception (P)
This test is often used by employers and on graduate job applications in the corporate sector. We also offer a further test, the Rorschach Inkblot Test. The Rorschach & Holtzman Inkblot (HIT) Test Scoring is based on twenty-two items: reaction time, rejection, location, space, form definiteness, form appropriateness, color, shading, movement, pathognomic verbalization, integration, content (human, animal, anatomy, sexual, or abstract), anxiety, hostility, barrier, penetration, balance, and popularity. This is achieved through 47 cards with inkblots diagrams and can be useful as a now standardized alternative approach to personality testing options.
