Personal Statement

We work with you to craft a personal statement that clearly articulates your academic interests, independent thinking, and genuine fit for your chosen course. Every draft is tailored to the specific expectations of Oxford or Cambridge and reviewed iteratively until it is ready to submit

College Selection

Choosing the right college is one of the most overlooked parts of the Oxbridge application. We help you research and select colleges that suit your academic profile, subject, and personal preferences, giving you the strongest possible starting position.

Admissions Test Preparation

We provide structured one-to-one preparation for all Oxbridge admissions tests, including the ESAT, TMUA, TARA, UCAT, and LNAT. Our tutors cover both the subject content and the exam technique each test demands.

Interview Preparation

Oxbridge interviews are structured around academic discussion and unseen problems, testing how you think on your feet. We run realistic mock interviews with tutors who have first-hand experience of the format, helping you engage confidently, defend your ideas, and think clearly under pressure.

Scholarships & Funding

We support applications for Oxford and Cambridge scholarships, bursaries, and external funding programmes including Rhodes, Gates Cambridge, and Chevening, giving you the best possible chance of securing financial support alongside your place.

Undergraduate & Postgraduate Applications

Our support covers every level of Oxbridge entry, from undergraduate applications through to Masters, MPhil, DPhil, and MBA programmes, with guidance tailored to the specific requirements and culture of each course and university.

Everything you need to know about Oxbridge applications

What is the Oxbridge application deadline?

Both Oxford and Cambridge require applications to be submitted by 15th October, significantly earlier than the standard UCAS deadline of 31st January. This applies to all undergraduate applicants regardless of course, and missing it means waiting a full year to reapply.

Do I need to sit an admissions test?

Most courses at Oxford and Cambridge require a subject-specific admissions test, sat in October before interviews. From 2026 onwards, Oxford has discontinued its own in-house tests, including the MAT, TSA, PAT, and BMSAT, and moved to a shared framework of standardised assessments run by UAT-UK. The three tests now used across Oxford and Cambridge are the ESAT (Engineering and Science Admissions Test) for engineering and sciences, the TMUA (Test of Mathematics for University Admission) for mathematics and related courses, and the TARA (Test of Academic Reasoning for Admissions) for subjects including PPE, Economics, and Computer Science. Oxford continues to use the LNAT for Law and the UCAT for Medicine. For Oxbridge applicants, tests must be completed at the October sitting, as the January sitting is only available to applicants at other universities.

What happens at the Oxbridge interview?

Interviews at Oxford and Cambridge are academic in nature, designed to assess how you think through unfamiliar problems with guidance from a tutor. They are not designed to catch you out, but they do expect you to engage seriously with ideas beyond your A-Level syllabus. Most candidates have two or three interviews across different colleges, each lasting around 20 to 30 minutes.

How do I choose a college?

You can name a specific college on your application or make an open application, in which case a college is assigned to you. Neither route is inherently better, though naming a college can help if you have researched the teaching environment and feel it suits your approach. Open applicants are often pooled and redistributed to colleges with space, so you will not be disadvantaged by going open.

What makes a strong personal statement for Oxbridge?

Oxbridge personal statements are primarily academic. Admissions tutors want to see evidence that you have engaged seriously with your subject beyond the A-Level curriculum, including independent reading, research, and intellectual curiosity. Extracurricular activities are largely secondary, and strong academic engagement is what distinguishes competitive applications.
